New to AoPS or unsure about which summer camp to enroll in? Click here to try the self-diagnostic test for AoPS Bootcamp: Prealgebra Prep!

This summer program is designed for students who need an extra boost to prepare for their 6th-grade math class or Prealgebra class in the fall. If students have already been approved for and feel ready for our Prealgebra course, they should sign up for Math Camp 6 instead.

Students taking our AoPS Math Bootcamp course should prepare to work hard! Each day will include a deep dive into a foundational topic covered in Beast Academy math (our advanced elementary school math curriculum). Students will get the chance to review topics they have seen before, as well as to build mathematical intuition and number sense. Problems in each lesson will challenge students to think more deeply about these foundational topics, which will help support lasting understanding. Students will also collaborate with their peers on problems, activities, and games throughout the camp. For a complete list of topics covered, see the syllabus below.

This camp does include daily homework, so students should be prepared to spend 1-2 hours per day working outside of class.

SYLLABUS

This two-week course meets Monday through Friday for three hours each day.

Space is very limited for our summer programs. Please do not wait until the last minute to enroll. If there are more than two weeks before the course starts, a $200 deposit will be due when enrolling, with the balance due two weeks before the course begins.

Our family regularly talks about AoPS. We try to think about how our life would be different without you all. What if my daughter hadn't learned to love math? What if she never experienced being pushed to her limits? Overcoming failure? She wouldn't be who she is. And she is AWESOME! A very proud mom here. We are so fortunate that we found AoPS Academy. I credit AoPS for much of her confidence.
